Leaders come in all shapes and styles. Some leaders are loud while others are quiet. Some leaders have inherited power, some leaders have been gifted power, and some leaders earn power. Some leaders don't even have formal power - they have power through responsibilities or influence. The goal of this session is to discuss the role of a servant leader (someone who possesses empathy, listening skills, and a desire for harmony) and how these leaders can successfully intersect with both the practice of pharmacy and the local community. If you want to learn more about a Community Health Worker (CHW), this is the course for you.

Upon successful completion of this application-based CPE activity, participants should be able to:
- Recall collaborative opportunities for a pharmacy and a public health department.
- Discuss strategies for creating relationships with public health entities and individuals in corresponding public health leadership roles.
- Identify opportunities to seek state-based grant funding to improve patient health.
- Assess similarities between the core responsibilities of pharmacy technicians and Community Health Workers (CHWs).
- Create a list of expansion opportunities for CHWs in pharmacy.
