Pharmacy teams have a critical role in providing preventative care through immunization services. Attend this mini-workshop for a quick review on aseptic technique for preparing injections and for an opportunity to work directly with a trainer to practice and demonstrate proper administration techniques for subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. The hands-on training offered in this session satisfies state and federal requirements for immunizing pharmacists and technicians.

  1. Identify the roles of pharmacy team members in providing immunization services.
  2. Recall best practices for accurate immunization administration technique.

  4. Discuss appropriate counseling topics to provide to patients both before and after the administration of an immunization.
