This course explores the vital role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in pharmacy practice. Learners will review the definition and training process for CHWs, discuss the intersection of CHW services and pharmacy practice, and gain insights into how CHWs can be seamlessly integrated into pharmacy workflow. Course content will highlight how CHWs can promote evidence-based clinical care, foster a collaborative culture with other providers, and assist communities with overcoming social inequities.
