The national asthma guidelines (GINA) are reviewed annually and have recently been updated to include new therapy options for patients with asthma. This course will summarize the most current asthma management recommendations so pharmacists can assess patient risk factors, recommend appropriate medications, assist in the management of triggers and exacerbations, and provide effective counseling for patients living with asthma.
